Yes, I know I'm late reporting this. I've had a busy few days. Cry cry. But if you've not already seen, v5.1 of Spectaculator has been released, with a host of new features.
Oh, you want some highlights?

The hardware mod revival continues. Dave the Lurker brings news of his zxUSB project - "an attempt to get a working USB controller on to the humble
speccy... based on the NatSemi USBN9603 USB controller IC". It's still in need of software, so any budding driver writers out there should get in touch. More info on comp.sys.sinclair.

Yes, this means exactly what I wrote. There are again some bugfixes and improvements. Example: Big pictures can be scrolled not only with the cursor icons, but also directly with mouse. And a new conversion mode is added: Grey scale SCR.
B2SP 2.01 can be downloaded from LCD´s site:
http://lcd-one.da.ru/
or from World of Spectrum site.

Btw: LCD is looking for a DOC-writter for the BMP2SCR EXP project

Jarek Adamski has once again emerged from his lab with a new creation - the YABUS interface, which solves the age-old problem of plugging in multiple interfaces without creating a mountain of black boxes. It offers a wide and fast-growing collection of cheap plug-in "YAMOD" modules allowing you to add anything from an AY chip to an IDE drive. And most impressively of all, they work across a whole load of different Z80-based computers - and theoretically others such as the Amiga! The full announcement is here, amongst other places.

Results / releases available from: http://paradigmus.scene.org

[edit: They're also available now on Demotopia - gasman]

Hmm. "Bunch O' Tools" -- no, I'm not talking about us (ahem), there's been a few util releases in the last few days that I thought I'd summarise here.
Check out DJH Downloads for "RUlez Doctor v1.3", a TR-DOS Disk Doctor. I just hope it works better than an old +3 Disk Util I had which killed your disks. Cry Cry (I get emotional after alcohol).
As well as a bunch of Paradigmus works, POS have recently posted a wodge of software including RAR 2.xx, ACEdit 0.73, ... -- worth the download there.

Thanks go to TDM for a quick translation of the news that the Syndeecate Apocalypse 2003 party has been mentioned in PC World -- at least in Czech Republic. Hey, it all helps, right?!?
It's worthy of a mention, tho' I'm still waiting for raww.org to appear in a UK mag. Cry Cry.

Despite everyones advice, I'm a little drunk while typing this in tonight, so forgive any mistakes.
The latest version of DSP has been released, that being v0.0.8b3. The main Sinclair-related fix is with memory emulation. Something was awry that caused some games (the example being Fairlight II) to kinda screw up. This is now fixed. It is. Yes.

Sinclair Nostalgia Products has been updated with a few more pictures and more information about Sinclair clones.

Nik-O and Gas 13 are looking for coder to create demo for CAFe. If you're interested please mail to gas13 @ yandex.ru
