I've not seen anything on the
Chaos Constructions website yet, but if you check the latest ZX releases over on
Pouet you'll see three prods from the party, along with some
results. I'm only just downloading the prods, which are the 4th-place "
flush" by Milytia & Simbols, the 3rd-place "
dreamers" from Skrju, and the winning megademo (!) by BioTech and n-Discovery, "
Image Megademo". Lovely.

Over on
World Of Spectrum there's news of a new release of
Gp2xpectrum - tho' the new version doesn't appear over at
gp2x.de yet so I'm not sure why I'm linking there. Instead you'll be wanting to get the new version from WOS, which removes the automatic rebooting when loading a +3 disc, and adds USB keyboard support.

Over at
OpenSourceZX, a place you can go to get a bundle of ZX source code, there was another update about a week ago (my life is hectic at the moment, so forgive me the news delays lately). I won't list all of the newness, but some highlights are some democode by Milytia, some system source, and ooh, other things.

Plans are in the pipeline to provide a method to save files onto a Fat16 device with the MB02+, according to the latest
MB-Maniax blog entry. It's early stages at the moment, with nothing to download, but considering the lack of a publicly-released useful firmware for the DivIDE this could be one to watch.

Chaos Constructions 2008 starts today (in fact it's probably already running, what with timezones and the like). Looking back I seem to have completely missed mentioning the fact that the previously-missing ZX music compo is taking place... it seems that some ZX music will be part of the 32k Exe Music competition. But you already knew that as you all read
Speccy-Live too.

A new version of cross-platform tracker-player
AYFly has hit the 'net, with a few new features and an awful lot of re-writing. Full/lazy changelist is after the cut...

A mention here of the
Spectranet webpage, simply because I checked it out the other day as I wanted to know how it was going, and among other things the
tutorials were updated recently. Looking forward to this interface being available for public consumption? Of course we are.

Very quick pointer to a new version of
Fuse PSP, the port of Fuse for the... PSP. It's a quick pointer because not much has changed. So there.

I see that Woody released a new version of his wonderful
SpecEmu recently. It's v2.7 build 160808 (or actually v2.8 if you check the changelog). Changes are... minimal, being basically the addition of Cheetah Specdrum support. Boom-bang-tish!

Thanks to Spenot for pointing me to the party-page for
Arok, a mostly C64 party that took place in Hungary last weekend. Why am I reporting on it? Well because there were a couple ZX screen$ in the competition, and Riskej's Gigascreen "Shepherd's truecolor swings" made it to second place out of 15 entries. "What a bitch" by SG of Milytia came in ninth. Both entries are available on the Arok homepage.
