I've just seen on zx.pk.ru some news that has also been spotted over on
Speccy Live: Vladimir Kladov of
EmuZWin fame has released an
alpha preview version of a complete rewrite of his emulator.
EmuzGL is the name, and downloading it now is the game. It looks to be quite full-featured, and EmuZWin is/was quite a nice emulator, so I have high hopes for this one.

A very very quick pointer to
CCZ80 v2.0.1, which adds the /asm parameter for the compiler, and includes some code optimizations. Now I need to go and eat. Food.

A very quick pointer to the English version of the
DiHalt website. You already know that the party is taking place in late June, and now you can find out more information without pumping the site through
google. Wonderful.

It appears that
Chaos Constructions 2008 has been announced. I'm not sure of the state of the party following last year's events, where the main "thing" was something like an exhibition and the compos took place alongside. But compos did take place, and that's what we all want, so we can probably expect the same in St. Petersburg in late August again. Good stuff, keep your eyes on the site.

If you happen to use a Nokia N800/N810 Tablet, or have the likely advantage over me of knowing what one
actually is, then you'll be giggling like a schoolgirl at the news that Marat Fayzullin, old-time God of the ZX world, has released v1.6.1 of
Speccy Maemo. Not that I can find any information on newness, so I guess it's simply a platform fix. If you're not one of those people then you can safely ignore this news. Move along please. There's nothing to see here.

As I move pseudo-alphabetically through my list of "things that have changed in the last couple weeks," the next thing to appear is the latest release of the
Fuse for Mac OS X port. I don't think anyone will be overly surprised at the list of changes, which include +D/Beta Disc menu items, .img file opening/saving as +D discs, and stuff. Certainly worth updating if you have a Mac. Which I don't. But maybe I'll update anyway, just to be in with the in-crowd. The files you seek are at
SourceForge.

Way back in February I very nearly posted about a new version of
TFM Music Maker, a Windows-based program to allow you to, uhm, make music. For the TurboSound-FM (that's 6 x FM channels, for those who really should know better). But that version had a critical bug and was taken down. Well now, two months later a new version is out - v1.21. Hoorah! Changes are... something. But you're going to download it anyway, eh?

Righty. Beginning the long process known as "catch-up", which means I provide some out-of-date news until my to-do list says 100% complete, I give some news on Ben Versteeg's
PC Keyboard Interface. It's not much, but to point out that prototype work has begun on the project. Now we need to all go buy
Keyword Stickers to put onto our old PC keyboards.
Ben has also posted a new version of the
K-Mouse Turbo Manual, which you may like to grab. Yes, you may. Apologies to Ben for the direct link, but I'm in lazy mode.

If icabod can write news about his wedding here, I can do it as well. It's quite senseless to mention here that MB Maniax leave Speccy and go
coding on Atari instead :) But the main thing: Shrek/MB Maniax has got
married last Saturday. Here's a little
weddingtro by zeroteam. And what more, this Saturday (if I remember right) sweet128 has a
wedding, too. Double congratulations.

The latest EP album with slightly weird name has appeared on
8bit Peoples' site. Made by who else than Yerzmyey. It contains five nice AY tunes composed on Timex 2048 with AY interface. The original description is inside the article.
