Coming only a couple days after the unexpected latest release of Spin, Woody has announced on the WOS forums that there's a new version of his emulator SpecEmu available. This is an emulator I've not fully played with, but it does seem quite full-featured. This is even more true now with the list of additions in v2.5:

A quick post to mention that if you've not managed to complete your work for the Antique Toy online compo, you still have some time. The deadline has been extended by two weeks, so you have until November 15th to get some music or screen$ completed. Who knows I may even get my work completed with that extension.

Having been a fair few months since the previous release it's good to see that work continues on the ZX Spin emulator. Dunny has just announced over on the WOS forums that v0.666 of this popular emulator is available for download (due to possible issues with hosting I've mirrored it on raww.org). Read on for details of changes...
Update: fairly major issue with this release of the emulator is that contention appears to be... off. Expect a new version soon.

As mentioned previously, Akton Films have now released "The Sinclair Gate". It's available for viewing on Google Video... just follow the link and have a watch of this ZX-based film. Lovely.

As was pointed out by zub in the comments to my previous post, he's gone and uploaded a new version of WinFuse - beta 13. Perhaps most importantly it adds additional Pentagon emulation, which is always a good thing. You'll have to check the previous post for a few more details (I have a meeting to go to so I can't do all the work for you right now), but I do know that he's pointed to a possibly useful changelog. Handy.

As spotted by Vinnny over at Speccy Live, there's a new version of GP2Xpectrum available, should you be the owner of a GP2x (otherwise why bother with it, eh?). v1.5beta1 is the version number, and if you click-on you can find out what's changed. See, I don't have a GP2x and I downloaded it just for this. Aren't I just the best!?

Zub has mentioned that he's released a new version of his win32 port of the popular Fuse emulator. Beta12 has a few changes, tho' only in the SDL UI version, which I think are flowing through to the main Fuse branch (I've noticed a fair bit of activity over on SourceForge). Among them are +D/Betadisk emulation, which is nice.
The full update details are probably in the archive, which I don't have time to check at the moment.

In case you've ever wondered what it's like to visit a Chaos Constructions party, I see that a new video is posted on the CC7 page - a 6-minute overview of the party. You get to see all you'd expect, including some dodgily-wired hardware. Oh yes.
The video is available in 51Mb and 20Mb versions.

I've just seen from a post on the WOS forums that Akton Films is still alive - I was a little worried as the website has been giving me errors recently (well, my web-checker has reported some to me). But the site is back and redesigned, and with some news that "Sinclairs Gate" will soon be released for the wonderful price of "free" (tho' donations are of course welcome). I understand that I may well have a credit for some translation/correction of the text, tho' I don't think I actually managed to get my translations in on time before someone else had done so - that's what comes of being a slacker, eh? Still, it's something to look forward to. Hoorah!
