Spotted the other night, via
Vorc, that C-Jeff now has a webpage. C-Jeff was the winner of February's raww.orgy music competition (along with Dalezy), and is a respected (and prolific) AY musician. Over on his
new website you can download some of that AY music along with a bundle of other stuff, such as chiptunes and wotnot. For stuff that's not on his page yet, you can visit his section over on
Demotopia.
Interestingly, I did a google search for C-Jeff as I couldn't remember the URL of his site, and was offered the chance to "Buy C Jeff on ebay". Now, how much do I think he's worth?

Snuck out with hardly a trumpet of fanfare, FogartyLee et al have uploaded
ZX Shed #3 to WOS. In case you don't know, it's a free pdf-a-zine dedicated to the lovely beast we call the ZX of Spectrum. I've only just downloaded it, and have to scoot (
scoot!) to a meeting so you'll just have to download it yourself to find out if it's any good or not. I'm sure it will be going by the previous two issues [
1][
2]. There's also a
dedicated website now. Enjoy.

Spotted a thread over in
WOS about the release of the latest version of
EightyOne, an emulator that's fast becoming more than "just another emulator". Specifically, for me, it supports emulation of the DivIDE and the +3e. Noice.
In the WOS thread Mike states that he doesn't know what actual changes have gone into this v0.43 release, tho' there is a
changelog on the website which has some stuff in it.
So I would say it's a worthy download. Agreed?

You may or may not know that there's a new (ish) game in development for the ZX Spectrum. Ok, there are several, but
XeO3 is a cross-platform game, originally written for the Plus/4 machine. That in itself is no big deal, but what I found interesting is that there's a
DevBlog dedicated to the production of the Spectrum version. There's even a few code-snippets as the blog author, Russell Kay, details how he's going to do bits of the game. Quite an interesting read.

I've heard from psndcj/Tbk that there's a new version of the recent Sundown 2006 ZX releases, as a TRD. Among some other "fixes", the multicolour routine from Gasman's winning demo has been fixed for Pentagon timing. The code was done by psndcj/tbk, and the graphics by Diver/4d.
That said... I don't actually have a link to the download. Didn't spot it on V-TRD, and I currently can't get to
Scenergy. So if anyone has a link, let me know.
Note: The download can be gotten from zx.pk.ru.

For those of you with a particular hardware fetish, Velesoft has put the
Sam Coupe schematic diagrams on his site. They state they're 100% correct, so what are you waiting for? Go download 'em and make your own! ;)

Because you know you really do want it, Gasman has posted a
blog entry with some detail of his
Sundown-winning ZX demo "Koopaville". Complete with source (if you're brave enough to read it). Go have a look while I trundle to the staff canteen for a bacon roll. Go on.

Following the discovery of a couple bugs (one discovered by me in fact, as I'd like to give this nice-looking assembler a go),
SjASMPlus has been updated to v1.07 RC3. In addition to the bugfixes (relating to a line-numbering issue and a problem using DEFINE), there's also an addition to the SAVESNA feature allowing you to save 48k Snapshots. As I write this the main page hasn't been updated, but you can grab the this release from
SourceForge. Groovy.
