An interesting post just appeared on POS from Stefano in Italy. I'll save me some time and you some surfing by simply stealing a bit of the letter that Himik received:
"
I have seen Power of Sound web page. what is Zx Net? A kind of web for zx spectrum? have you ever listened about zx next? (a zx spectrum clone with cga resolution and 10Mb/s lan card).
Do you know if is it possible to connect a zx spectrum (or clone) in internet? I have some projects (such as zsock, uzix, zx web server, cpc/ip and tcp/ip for 8bit processors) to assemble for connecting zx spectrum in internet but these projects are still in development. I have also a schematic for RS232 for connect a modem to zx-spectrum.
Other questions: are there some clones still in productions in Russia (such as profi apart Sprinter, Nemo Kay-1024 and zs Scorpion)? are there also some software hoses that still products some software for spectrum (and clones) ?
" Well I must say that some of those "in-development" projects sound quite interesting. If you have any information, send it on to Stefano.

A bad headline, I'm sorry. It was the best I could come up with for the news that there's a couple new text editors available over on DJ Hooligan's page. You can grab Horror Word 1.02, and the latest version of AC Edit (0.65).

 | TCG Homepage |
|
| |
As mentioned a while back there's a new page "coming up" hosted by speccy.cz. Well now it's there.
T.C.G. are a ZX group who've produced a demos and tools which you can go download. And happily, they've provided the page in English too.
As well as that, you can download a "classic" game from many years ago, Podraz 3, which Wixet and Bobble have kindly translated into English.
A nice page, and worth checking out even if just for the "let's take the piss out of Wixet" comment on the demos section <g>.

 | Smart Csaba |
|
| |
You may remember a while ago I mentioned Csaba Gondos, and his project creating a SmartMedia interface for the ZX. A nice idea, especially if you already have a bunch of the cards lying around from your digital camera or mp3-player.
Well thanks go to Ricsibu for news that "tuned up" QL's and Z88's will soon be appearing. I don't have much information, but keep an eye out.

 | ZX Format 2 |
|
| |
ZX Format if you didn't already know is a 'zine based on the Spectrum, which should really be taken up by Future Publishing to sit alongside "PC Format", "Linux Format" and "Cross-stitch Format".
Well, it's second issue is out, and it's freely downloadable in .PDF format. Download it at work and you can even print it out for free. If your workplace is anything like mine, it means you get exercise running to the printer before someone spots that you're using office facilities for something "not work-related". But I digress.
There's not much to say apart from telling you to grab this latest issue which has been out for around a week now.
My only negative comment is the massive pop-up when you go to the homepage - something to do with cjb.net I guess.

 | RZX Archive |
|
| |
If you don't already know what an RZX file is, i'll attempt to enlighten you. Quickly.
An .RZX file is basically a recording of what's going on on a Spectrum. It's used to record game progress, which is good for competitions and things of that ilk.
Anyway, a new site is up, like the TZX Vault, but for these recording files. It's called the RZX-Archive. Not much there at present, but keep an eye out, and record your own.
Oh, while we're here a couple ideas for domain-names based on a once-good Sci-Fi series: RZX-Files and TZX-Files. Oh, and don't forget ZX-Files. I'd get them myself, but I already have more domains than I know what to do with. I'm happy to do some hosting, tho'.

 | Graphics News |
|
| |
Bunching the graphics news into one post. Oh, I'm a trickster. I simply want to get to bed soon.
Gas13 has added a couple releases from the recent Phat2 party to his homepage. You can go check out his work "Underwater", and also "Mandella" by pROF/4D.
To continue with news about Gas13, you may like to check out an interview with him over at everchangingart.com. And if that's not enough, there's another interview over at ZpiXel.
More news from ZpiXel: New galleries for the recent CAFe'2002 and Paradox parties.
Finally from the graphics side of things, two more galleries have appeared on ZpiXel. One is a personal gallery from Newart, and the other is a set of graphics from the demo "Summermilk".
Go get yourself some eyecandy.

 | Sprinter Wares |
|
| |
In the last week or so there's been a few uploads to the Sprinter homepage. There's also been some news on developments.
There's a neat Z88DK, a development kit for the... Z88. But now it supports the Sprinter too.
A handy conditional execution tool has been added - guess it's good for scripts and stuff, eh?
Ans also there's a new version of a Tetris game by Shaos, complete with source.
Lovely.

 | Enough for now |
|
| |
Okay. I'm tired, and after an impromptu week off, there's a fair bit of news to get through. I'll get to it over the next couple days.
Also, if anyone has mailed me with news that hasn't appeared here, please mail me again. I had a huge number of emails to download, so I used webmail to remove the crap/spam... I think I may have deleted some news too. Sorry if I did. Oops.

 | ZpiXel updates |
|
| |
I mentioned briefly the other day about the updates on ZpiXel (dated at around a month ago, tho' they've only just appeared). Well I thought I'd expand on what's there.
There's a couple "reviews" of the graphics competitions from a couple old compo's, CC'001 and Phat1.
There's an interview with Pheel/Phantasy, which took place just after CC'001 last year.
The results of CAFe Party are on the site (tho' not the releases), and there's been a couple gallery updates too.
Finally there's some information on the Shit'2002 competition from earlier this year. If you think you deserve a prize for your entry then wait, and it may get to you. Eventually. Check the site for details.

A quick post to say that the following emulators have been updated recently:
- ASpectrum : 0.1.6 : This release brings a new sound engine, border emulation, and of coz bugfixes.
- UnrealSpeccy : bugfix : just spotted that there's a bugfix patch available on DJ's page - no details of what tho'.

 | Minigame Results |
|
| |
If you haven't already voted in the Minigame competition, then I suggest you hurry up and... oh... too late.
Yes, the competition is over, voting has closed, and a winner has been announced: Splatform/C64 by Robin Harbron. Well done Sir.
Full details of the results can be seen at the homepage, along with stats (average score), and some comments about the games. Highest ZX placing was 1Kanoid by Paolo Ferraris, which came in at number 5. A respectable position when it was up against over 60 other entries.
And hey, at least when I checked, the comment I put about the compo is at the top of the list... "lovely. mmm." says it all, I think <g>.

 | International Vodka Party results |
|
| |
Yes you read that right, it's the results of the International Vodka Party 2002, which was held in Krakow, Poland, and organised by Yerzmyey (as if you couldn't guess from the name of the party). Here's the mail I got from him:
"
We were drinking, watching zx-demos, drinking, playing zx-games, and drinking.
People from Czech and Poland have met for good fun.
TDM, Factor 6, Hellboj, Shimi, Will, Radxcell, Vavrzon, Jean, Lukasz, and Yerzmyey of coz. ;-) Additionaly there were some non-Speccy persons: two girls, Kate and Caroline.
We organized a competition for the most stupid zx-demo. In the attachment You can find stuff and results. :)
In near future I will send You some photos.
" I should perhaps note that the contents of the attachement aren't for the weak or young. Quality ZX products, yes!
Also from Yerz I recieved Chocoholica, a music collection by Factor6 (a Phantasy/K3L production). Rather nice it is too.

 | Spectrumania 2002 |
|
| |
Okay, apologies for this being short notice, but I have some news on the upcoming (I mean this weekend) Spectrumania 2002 party. It's organised by the German Spectrum User Club, and is being held in Stuttgart. Taking place on the 11th to 13th of October, the party will feature a couple competitions amongst other things (tho' not specifically coding compo's: game and demo stuff, tho').
If you're interested in going, contact Thomas Eberle at Sintech, he should be able to help you out with your queries.

 | Apologies |
|
| |
Just a quick note for the moment, perhaps some real news later.
I apologise for the lack of news in this last week. I've had some other things to take care of, and I've really not been "in the zone" regarding playing about on my computer. Mainly I've been taking care of my cat, who has become very poorly, in between working long hours.
So, I apologise for the crapness on the site at the moment.
A quick mention of some news, which I may cover properly later this weekend:And remember to check out some of the other news sites (you may need translators): Scenergy, POS, WOS, speccy.org.

 | Demo Tools |
|
| |
Some more tools that you may wish to download are available on Virtual TRD. I'm feeling lazy right now, so I'll simply name them, but I think you can guess what they do (at least, in two cases): UltraSonic v2.12 and MultiStudio v2.0p from Omega Hackers Group, and VideoStudio v0.1 from Coders Academy. Farly straightforward, although from a post on VORC it seems that at least UltraSonic is in danger of becoming shareware in the future. Hmm.

 | Buggeration! |
|
| |
A little note on WOS points us in the direction of "ZXDEB alpha 3", a ZX Debugger utility. It's built using a base of "ASpectrum", and open-source emulator (itself at v0.1.5). A quick check of the features and of the screenshot (debugging "The Great Escape") proves that this is a very worthy download. Handy for debugging your demo-code (uhm... am I the only person who writes ZX democode on a PC?).

 | New ROMs |
|
| |
A couple new ROMs to add to your collection have appeared on Speccy4Ever. First up is the inclusion of the "Sea Change ZX Minimal ROM", which I think I mentioned a few days ago (laziness stops me from checking). There's also an "ATM Turbo 2 Keyboard Controller" ROM, which is housed along with all other ATM ROMs in it's own section. Aaaw.

 | Here cometh the MB2.5 |
|
| |
You'll know I'm an advocate of the MB02 disk interface from 8Bit Company. Well it seems that the upcoming MB03 has been "delayed" (read that is probably cancelled) due to cost. However, there's a mid-way point for you to get to with the announcement of the MB2.5. The news in SUC-Session gives some of the features as being more memory, more Flash ROM, PS/2 keyboard and mouse support, and best of all (IMO), an IDE interface. There's even a possibility of producing a smart-card reader too. Very nice. If you're interested get in touch with Sintech, and they'll pass on your comments.

 | Sprinter Stuff |
|
| |
Two bits of news on the Peters Plus site regarding the Sprinter machine. First up there's a new list of BIOS 3.00 function calls, very handy if you're writing software for the beast. And there's also a new poll up asking about the applications you'd like to see appearing. Hmm. My vote goes for mini-applications... I simply don't like bloatware. Grab and install what you want, that's my preference. Seems I'm in a minority so far. Go vote.

 | More demoscene sites |
|
| |
A note on the fairly quiet Speccy.cz mentions that they're now hosting the homepage of ZX group "CI5 - The Amateurs". I've had a quick scoot around the site (which is only in Czech, it seems), and there's a few nice things on there, including a whole bunch of photos taken at the various Kaplicon parties.
It's also mentioned that Speccy.cz will soon be hosting the homepage of Total Computer Gang (TCG), but it's not there yet, so you can have no link.
While I'm here I'll mention that the homepage of z00m has moved due to access troubles. You should be able to see it now.

| |
If you're one of those who prefer to shun Microsoft, instead preferring to use a *nix system (hey, I do sometimes), then you should grab yourself the latest release of AYlet. It's out at v0.3, with a bunch of changes. Most important (IMO) is the use of correct AY levels, thanks to our own Gasman. He's a handy chap to know, and no mistake.

 | Phat2 |
|
| |
If you're looking for a Phat2 fix (that party was, ooh, last weekend), then here's a few places you may wanna go.
I think the title of the page "Phat 2 pictures by Shiva of Kolor" says pretty much all you need to know, apart from the fact that there's over 170 photos taken at the party, ready for you to eat bandwidth on.
A forum has been opened on the official party-page for visitors to discuss the party. In there you'll find links to a bunch of things, including a video of "Day 1", photos (more photos), more videos, and some releases apparently. Well, you really will have to check out all the links yourself. There's loads there, mainly from Lynx it seems.
Also detailed on the main site, and in the forum, is details of the "Online Voting". Hmm, not entirely sure I like the idea of mp3ing the chiptunes, but I guess it's the only way to make sure everyone hears the same thing. It's a bitch to download on a 56k modem, tho'.
Anyway, there's plenty more links and things online if you look around the rather nice official site. Get to it.
Oh, and in response to a note on the page saying "history of the event is gonna be put up here in a while.. or maybe not, why should i waste time." -- Coz the public want the news!!!

 | SUC-Sess, Hoorah! |
|
| |
For a moment I'd thought that the local postal service had gained an interest in Retro technology... the latest issue of SUC-Session arrived at my door with the envelope ripped open, and no sign of a disc. But that arrived separately a couple days later. Hmm, I thought I was going to have to get nasty for a moment. And if I did that, they may stop delivering my supply of dubious foreign merchandise. But hey, we're safe now.
So what's in the latest issue? Well there's various articles and reviews covering emulation, ZX-graphics editing on the PC, website reviews, and even a raww.org plug hidden away in the "parties" section. Nice stuff. Scene+ is quite packed too, featuring half-a-dozen games, a bunch of demos and intros, and music and graphics from Forever, amongst other things.
As for the news... well, you really should subscribe shouldn't you. But I'll cover a couple of the things in a few minutes.

 | New Links |
|
| |
A little note here of a couple websites.
I've added a link to Progress, a .ru demogroup. I'm sure you've heard of them, or at least some of their work. Check out their homepage (in English, yay!), and grab their demos.
I'm also going to mention Slash. Tho' not strictly a ZX site, this guy started out his musical career on the ZX. I've not yet downloaded any of his .XM music, but you may wanna check it out.

 | Cloning the MF3 |
|
| |
I know a lot of sceners are keen DIY enthusiasts, so I was quite interested when I saw this "emerging" thread on CSS (by emerging, I mean you need to search around for the related posts). It's about a project to clone the Multiface3. It interested me as this was the second piece of ZX addon hardware I bought (the first was a lightpen - oh dear). Part of the plan is to make it work with the plus3e. Lovely.

|
| |
Noticed over on the Optical Brothers site that there's a collection of photos available taken at the Psycho 3rd birthday bash. The zipfile is 3.8Mb, and can be grabbed here.
I'd also like to apologise to the OB team (and to any raww.org visitors)... my webchecker was set up to point at their old news page, and I didn't spot the error in my logs. Oops. Hope I didn't miss any biiig news.

 | SpinGL |
|
| |
So I now have some news on this whole SpinGL malarky. There's been posts on the WOS forums, and also on comp.sys.sinclair by the author, Dunny. Basically it seems that these are "test versions" of the emulator using OpenGL to render the display. Apparently it does "smoother scaling and scanlines". Well, can't be all bad. Oh, but you'll be needing something akin to a monster PC to run it nicely. Best upgrade that 486/66, eh!?
Check out that link for a bunch of different versions you may like to try.

 | SevenuP and E-Z80 Way |
|
| |
More grouping of news, basically coz I've just seen both of these handily covered by WOS.
A new release of Z80 cross-assembler "The E-Z80 Way" has been uploaded to the site, tho' I don't have any information on it. I tend to use tasm. But that's me, I guess.
A new release of the screen$ editor, "SevenuP" has also come out, bringing it to 0.61b. There's a few little modifications to the app, but most importantly (IMHO), it's now being released under the GPL license, meaning you can grab the source and "play about". Very nice.

 | Easter Eggs |
|
| |
If you read this post on the X-board you'll be treated to a bunch of "demo cheats". I've seen a few demo easter eggs around before, but all these ones are for old Exodus demos. They were provided by Mac Buster. Or DcPak. Hmm, I think it's the latter. Poor old X-Agon, I think his mind is going. Too much vodka.
Anyway, dig out your old floppies (or to save time rooting around in cupboards, just get yourself over to Demotopia), get the Exodus demos, and start playing.

 | Emulators and Tools |
|
| |
I'm lazy really, putting the "emulator" and "tool" stuff into one post. Aah, we'll survive.
First up there's a clever tool available called "LensKey". It's a lenslock emulator, which pretends to be that funny plastic thing you stick over your screen to get a code out. It's for those people who like a really authentic experience with emulators. Hmm.
I'm still unable to get to the homepage of UnrealSpeccy (has it moved?), but according to a couple sites, it's been updated again to v0.21b5. This is mainly bugfixes from the recent b4 release, which gave us new video filters "and stuff".
I spotted on the Spin "homepage", a couple new files titled "ZXSpinGL1.zip" and "ZXSpinGL2.zip". Well, your guess is as good as mine, coz I've missed any news about these two. Best download and try 'em, eh?
v2.05 of "Digital Studio" is available for download from Virtual TRD, in case you wanted to spend some time creating digital AY music. You know, samples and things. Go play if you're musically-minded. Personally I'm staying away from it. My musical talent is... well, I'll tell you when i find it.
Finally, I see that the ZX Hardware DIY page (the home of ZXATASP) has been updated with news that Yarek is going to port his ZXVGS system to the ZXATASP. I think I've mentioned this O/S before. It's worth checking it out.
And that's it. Sorry for the recent slackness. Sometimes other things are more important than sitting in front of a computer. Like being paid to sit in front of a computer <g>.

 | New Zines |
|
| |
Some mention on comp.sys.sinclair of a couple new 'zines that will soon hit the streets. "ZX Digest" is... about the ZX I guess. I actually don't have any more information on it as there's no website yet (one's being created). I guess it's out... sometime. In the future. Perhaps.
The other zine I'm gonna mention is not specifically about the ZX, but instead for the Sam Coupe. Yeah, I've not heard mention of this machine for a while, but you should all know that it was once a "contender", being a kinda souped-up ZX clone. Think Sprinter. "Sam Revival" was launched last month, and is out every other month. Details can be found here.

Got a mail giving the URL of a new webpage, that belonging to z00m. I've stuck up a link to it but, uhm, at the moment my machine can't seem to find it. Hmm. Perhaps someone cut the cable between UK and the rest of the world!?

 | OrgASM v0.21 |
|

Oh yes. Now that's my kinda naming convention for the utility. OrgASM is an assembler for the Sprinter, it's just been released at v0.21, and you can download it from their page. It features bugfixes and .EXE creation.

 | UnrealSpeccy 0.21b4 |
|
| |
Well, another version of UnrealSpeccy is out. "Why did I miss this?" I thought. Then I noticed that I can't actually access the homepage. Hmm. So it's just as well that Virtual TRD have spotted and uploaded the update. I frankly have no idea what's new. Best go download it then, eh? (Oh, just noticed you can get it and update info at DJH Downloads).

 | Minigame voting open |
|
| |
Well, the Minigame competition pack is out now, and you can go and download all the games, try them out, and go vote. One thing that concerns me a little... all the games are less than 1k. So how did an archive of around 60 games come in at 167k? Aah, I guess it's "accountant maths". Hmm.

 | DivIDE |
|
| |
When I was in Prague, I met up with Zilog. We ate. We drank. But he didn't come along to Beerever. One of the reasons for this was his ongoing project, divIDE. I've mentioned this "generic" ZX IDE interface before, the plan being that it works on all ZX clones. Well check out this x-board thread for some info (in Czech), and a link to a prototype image. There's also some info on how who's getting the "first batch". And no, I'm not in there. Perhaps later.

 | Bits and Pieces |
|
| |
Okay, another time of fast news, coz I have a few things I want to get done tonight before I sleep. So:
- plus3e : If you're a DIY hardware kinda person, then there's some new ROMs out for the plus3e, which provide support for the ZXATASP IDE interfaces.
- Sprinter : There's a new "User Menu Tool" added to the Peters download page. My guess? It's a tool for, ehm, User Menu's.
- Minigame : Well, the Minigame competition is closed, now we just have to wait for the voting page to open, so we can say which of the 62 entries rocks! Heh, only one entry was disqualified for being too big.
- Spin : A quick bugfix of Spin has been released, fixing a few... bugs. Hmm. It's up to 0.3a.
- Es.pectrum : Another emulator has been updated too, which you may wish to include in your collection. This one's up to 0.6b2, and you can grab it here.
- Vortex : Another release of this tracker from the maker of AY-Emulator is out, adding module header editing, and bringing it up to v1.0a4.
There's some more I think, but it'll wait until tomorrow. Yes.

 | Spin 0.3 released |
|
| |
Yep, although it's not yet up on the webpage... page, this post indicates that there's a new version of Spin on the 'net. Looks like quite a few changes are made in this version (0.3), including a big rewrite of the main emulation engine. Some of the other highlights include a 48k keyboard "helper" (useful for 128k users like me), external ROM support, improved RZX handling, and a whole bunch of Tape/Disk improvements.
Looking further through the thread, there's a another download here.

A whole bunch of downloads has appeared on the RealSoft page, including the latest versions of UnrealSpeccy and RealSpectrum. Also in there are the latest (?) versions of ProTracker, Best View, and ooh, oodles more. And if that isn't enough, I see that Scenergy have just posted something about SQ Tracker - I've not run it through a translator, but you can do that if you need to <g>.

 | Minigame Competition |
|

Well, the deadline is nearly here for the Minigame competition, a cross-platform event where the aim is to write a game for any 8-bit platform in less that 1024b. Tricky, but check out the entries they've had so far. Quite a few for the ZX, and it's worth grabbing emulators for the other platforms so you can provide an informed vote. Deadline is tomorrow, so spend the rest of the day coding!

 | ZX Meetings |
|
| |
Last bit of news tonight concerns some upcoming ZX "meets". Not demo parties, just meetings of like-minded ZX fans.
First up is news from Sintech about some ZX shows in Germany - one is this weekend ("Spectrology"), and the other in around one month's time ("Spectrumania" - 11th to 13th October). You can find out a load of information following this link.
Next up is a typical Yerzmyey meeting - I say typical, as it involves lots of alcohol <g>. "International Vodka Party" is taking place on 4th and 5th of October, in Yerzmyey's home in Poland. The plan is "watch zx-demos, play zx-games and drink" which sounds like a laugh. If you think you should be invited along to the party (there's a few confirmed sceners already), you could do worse than drop Yerz an email. Send it via me, I'll pass it on.

 | Paradox Graphics |
|
| |
A quick note to say that Gas13 has added a history of his winning Paradox image ("Clean") onto his site. There's also some comment on another of the compo entries.

 | Tips from a Code Monkey |
|
| |
Before Baze complains, "Code Monkey" is simply a term I use for someone who writes code. And he gets called it as he's just posted a bunch of little Z80 routines on the his site - check the link at the bottom of the page for them. Routines (so far) include methods to do maths stuff (quick multiply and divide), random number generation, that kinda thing. Very handy for demo-coding, I think.

 | RealSpectrum Katun released |
|
| |
Katun it seems is the codename of the latest beta release of RealSpectrum. This new release is beta 13 (build 0.96.16 to be totally accurate and anal).
As well as the usual improvements and additions, there's now a Win32 build of the emulator... no, not "RSWin", but the same DOS source compiled specifically for Windows. Should make for a more stable system.
A quick squint at the manual shows a few nice thingies added, including WafaDrive and Lightgun emulation, improved debugger, and other little tweaks. Best of all (for the demoscene at least) is the addition of Tape Autoloading. There's an option to automatically load tapes in USR 0 mode - saves a lot of typing. Anyone who doesn't know the ZX demoscene should be aware that many demos run better (run at all) in USR 0 mode on a ZX. Aah, save my fingers.
Oh, and there's news of the Linux port -- should take place in October. Yum.

 | Paradox Results |
|
| |
Well, someone must have been re-checking the ZX results from Paradox, as they've now been added to the official results on the homepage. To save you a little hassle, here's a rundown of some top 3's:
ZX Graphics
1 - Clean - Gas13
2 - YTKU - Disabler / DPL
3 - Clouds - Yerzmyey / H-Prg
ZX AY Music
1 - Live from my oldschool party - Phantom Lord/CMS
2 - Lonely Soul - Cj_Flexo/GBG
3 - Linda: Northern Wind - Silent / Delta
ZX Digital Music
1 - Melomania - Vigil / Coders' Academy
2 - Element Moderate - Nikphe / Anarchia
3 - Old remember remix - Disabler / DPL
ZX Demo
1 - iNvAsIoN - OCA
Hmm, only the one entry in the Demo competition, but quite a lot of entries in the other's. Check the link above for the full results. Oh, and I should thank VTS of coz for the news yesterday, and Graphics-Winner Gas13 for the lists of results today. Cheers.
Oh, and if you want the demo "iNvAsIoN", then get yourself over to POS for the download.
I also spotted that Scenergy have mentioned some reports (and also some more CAFe photos), so go check out their news page for the links -- only in the Russian section I think, tho'.

 | Spectaculator upped |
|
| |
If you pay a quick visit to the homepage of Spectaculator you'll see that a new version has been released, bringing it up to v3.0b1. The reason for this beta release is due to the author "sowing his seed like a blind farmer" - yep, he's had a sprog. So he's made an early release (ahem) while he still has a chance. Check the homepage (if it's been updated yet - I saw this news on comp.sys.sinclair) for details.

 | Room for a Phat one? |
|
| |
Actually no, there's not room for a Phat one. I'm talking about banners. I'm not a big fan of banners really. Increased page-load time, stuff like that. Aah, maybe I'll change my mind about them when I get around to doing a site re-design. Maybe. So instead of putting up the Phat2 banner, I'm going to include a link to it, and you can include it on your page if you wish: grab it here.
I will however include a button to the party. Hey, I'm not totally evil, you know!!
