Hi, I've asked Kio if he might substitute +2C emulation for SE (Chloe) emulation in ZXSP until the SE is nearer completion. I have sent him a copy of ROM 0. ROM 1 is the original, unmodified, 48 Basic ROM with the huge number of FF instructions. This improves compatibility. In ROM 0, I have used all the avaiable space to fix as many bugs as I could in the 128 editor. 0064 - Enabled NMI calls with ROM 0 paged in The NMI bug is not fixed. If there is no value set it will reset the machine as usual (for compatibility reasons), but if there is a value set it will be called even when ROM 0 is paged in. 01C3 - Fixed the NEW bug Values were written to the wrong addresses making many 48K programs crash in 128 mode. They should now function normally. 0240 - Fixed the 48 incompatibility bug Changing three instructions to NOP allows the original, unmodified ROM from the Spectrum 48K to be used in place of ROM 1. When the SPECTRUM command is entered from 128 BASIC this gives 100% compatibility with all 48K programs written for issue 3 and later. 032C - Replaced HALT with NOP Could cause a crash in a few unusual circumstances 034B - Fixed the ERROR NUMBER bug I can't remeber what it did but it is a simple fix. 048A - Fixed the missing error message bug In the original 128 (Spanish, without the menus) there was a p, Parameter error. Its absence in the UK and subsequent 128s can cause the machine to crash in a few circumstances. 0B96 - Fixed the PLAY "O256" bug This value should not be accepted by play but on other machines it is. 2199 - Fixed the DFSZ bug Minor bug. 26F1 - Fixed the keyclick bug The keyclick is supposed to sound the same in 48 and 128 mode but a screw up in the 128 ROM means it looks in the wrong place to find the value. 2D4A - Fixed the ALT CURSOR COLUMN bug Could cause crashes. 2DA1 - Fixed the lower screen edit mode bug Could cause crashes. 3012 - Fixed the DELETE WORD bug Minor bug. 335E - Fixed the RET NC bug Minor bug. 3474 - Fixed the LINE 0 bug It now shows up although there wasn't room to do a fix to prevent it filling the screen. 36CC - Centred menu (36F1, 3770, 37CE, 37EE) I hated the fact that the menu was offset to the left to line up with the copyright message since the message is only displayed once. 37F6 - Changed colour scheme (3864) I prefer blue title bars to black. It's more restful on the eyes. 3857 - 48 BASIC selects USR 0 mode When I run a demo I don't want to have to go into 128 basic and type USR 0. Now I don't have to. Everything that runs in 48 mode should run in USR 0 mode.
