New Tools
Posted By: icabod, Thursday, August 28, 2003 - 11:15 PM
As I'm a little behind with the news this week, I'm reverting to old form and cramming a bunch of news into the one post. But it's all related, with a whole bunch of new utilities being released in the last few days...
First up is a new tool by LCD of BMP2SCR fame (a program which I've only just properly started to use -- niiice). It's called "+D Img2Tap" and it does what it says on the tin... converts +D disc images into .tap files. This should be very handy for people with a stack of discs lying in dusty boxes around the house.
If you check out DJH Downloads you'll find new versions of Real Commander (v2.5) and AC Edit v0.75.
Actually if you check out ZX Software Archive you'll find both of these, with RC in Russian and English versions. You'll also be able to pick up the latest Unrar (0.49c7) and a JPEG Convertor.
Finally for the moment, there's a new version of ZX Rainbow available for you to grab. This Spectrum... Manager (!?) has a few new file manipulation features, and the game IDs database has increased by over 500. Lovely.
