Jim Grimwood's Spot*On database, indexing material from the major Spectrum magazines, has had an update involving over 6000 new references. Among them are entries for more than 100 software titles not previously recorded.

Here's a summary of some of the other changes:

The download options have been reorganised.
Imagine entries have been divided into Imagine (original) and Imagine (Ocean); publisher codes IMAG & IMAO respectively.
Sports entries have been divided into Sport (Action) and Sport (Management); topic codes of SA & SP respectively.
Company news and features have their own topic code of CN (rather than using the general FE feature code).
Several new content areas are now covered: Awards, Charts, Fanzines, Shows, Tape Magazines, User Groups; and various others even more obscure. Check the "Database title summary" appendix for a full breakdown. The aim has been to index mostly everything except competitions and advertisements (although Sinclair/Amstrad ads are indexed).
