I can't find much on the site about the new non-subscription, "play it in a darkened room on your own" version, but then I'm at work so I can't look too thoroughly. PC Zone gives a few "highlights" as including the 3D fully-deformable terrain (that means exposions leave craters), and there's collapsing buildings and trees and oooh other stuff that's the standard in games these days.
Regarding the current, subscription version, have any ZX-users tried it out? I mean, compared the play-by-email version with the ZX classic? I'm curious to know what y'all think.

One of the advantages of this new website is that I can write news while I'm at work. Handy.
I was just checking through the new 10th birthday issue of PC Zone, and I happened across some news of a forthcoming game from the brothers Gollop. I've already mentioned Laser Squad Nemesis, a play-by-email game based on the ZX classic. Well it seems there's soon going to be a single-player version released, titled "Laser Squad Nemesis: Earth". The 'zine has some screenshots and it's looking rather lovely. Okay, so it won't run on a ZX (or even a Sprinter), but I think it's worth giving space to here. After all, it's gotta be the ultimate retro remake!!
