Sprinter CMOS Tool
Posted By: icabod, Tuesday, February 18, 2003 - 09:59 AM
I'm sure it's just my imagination, but there appears to be a lot in the "news" recently about the Sprinter. More about this machine than anything else. Not that I'm complaining, as I think it's good to get the machine recognised. Soon I'll be ordering one myself, I think.
Anyway, I've just seen that there's a new program called the CMOS Utility posted on the Peters Plus website. It allows you to edit the RTC/CMOS chip's memory. So, I guess it means you can... erm... change the time!? Hehe. Okay, there's more to it than that. Another tool to add to your Sprinter library.

Sprinter operating system (Estex) allow to change time&date by the standard commands: 'time' and 'date'. But CMOS utility allow to directly edit RTC/CMOS chip memory. It can contain not only time&date info.
